REMINDERS!
1. DON'T FORGET YOUR VOCAB THIS WEEK! I know it's been a couple weeks so some of you are out of the habit but you need to make sure you post TWO entries by this Sunday to get your credit for this week. Also remember that there is a NEW system! Log in to your google apps account and click on the new document that I shared with you entitled Vocab 3. Make sure to put your name in the box with your post!
2. You will have the 1st ten minutes or so of next class to work on your vocab presentations but that probably will not be enough for some of you. Make sure you get a head start if you need it!
3. There is a new extra credit question up! Check your google apps for that too!
4. We're already starting to close in on the end of the semester. Remember that I give big points for Extra Credit Reading...

Thinking OUTSIDE the Powerpoint Box.

I came across this awesome Comic Strip Generator that's CRAZY EASY to use. I created the one above to illustrate some of the functions. This could be a really fun way to make your project more interesting and it takes NO artistic ability! If you're interested, I added the link in TheCrucible site on the Task page. Take a look!

Here are your Mini-Research Refresher instructions if you need a copy...
Don't forget you've got several things due WHEN YOU WALK IN THE DOOR on Friday! You need (1) BOTH articles, (2) your citations, (3) notes IN YOUR OWN WORDS and (4) your IDEAS ORGANIZATION WORKSHEET all completed. This will be for a grade! You're rough drafts will be due HALF WAY through class. So if you'll need more time to work on your draft, that would also be for homework.

Click here to go to the form. You have 20 million in your budget to support new summer projects. We will be splitting the projects over two class periods so that means you can spend 10 million each day. Choose where to spend your money wisely. PLEASE REMEMBER TO ANSWER IN ACTUAL NUMBERS (ie 1,000,000 not 1 million). Watch your zeros carefully! Do not submit until all the projects have been completed for the day or your form will be VOID.

This Week!

It's a VERY short week but we've still got a lot going on! Make sure to post 2 stickies on WALLWISHER this week! And a bunch of you have VOCABULARY PROJECTS due this week as well.
Don't let a short week bring down your 4th quarter grades! If you know (or think) that you won't have internet over break make sure to get your stuff done at school before you leave on Wednesday! Remember, my little computer lab is open from 7:30 to 8:00 and from 2:30 until 3:00 everyday!
Come get your work done so it doesn't hang over your head during break!

Simply click on the Documents Download Center! and then scroll down to find the assignment you need! I'll be putting up the newest Vocabulary Project Due Dates as soon as everyone has picked their words but all of the Antigone study guides are already up and ready to be downloaded/printed/viewed/whatever!

New Addition to Vocab Project!
One option for the Vocab project is to teach the class your word in Sign Language! ASL (American Sign Language) is an important language and can be a great tool for learning vocab! Some words are just spelled out, some have specific signs, you'll need to do some quick research to figure it out!
note: I don't mean you have to do your entire presentation in sign language! I mean you just teach us YOUR WORD in sign language.

Extra Credit Opportunity!

Post an ORIGINAL, THOUGHTFUL, question about Antigone on the Questions/Answers Forum! or provide and ORIGINAL, THOUGHTFUL answer to one of the questions posed and receive extra credit!
It's getting close to the end of the quarter and every point counts! I'm looking for some good discussion here, so even if someone has answered a question, that doesn't mean you can't add something or give an alternate answer. I will be on fairly often too, but I won't post any comments until SOMEONE has tried to answer a question. I'm just here to make sure things stay on track.
I'll only be awarding up to 10 points per person but even a point or two for some of you could make a difference. MAKE SURE TO INCLUDE YOUR NAME so I can give you credit!
Happy posting!
